About the Role
This position is responsible for maintaining and advancing the organization's security compliance program by ensuring adherence to industry standards, supporting audits, and working closely with internal teams to embed compliance into operations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and implement security compliance controls across systems and processes
- Support internal and external audits by providing evidence and documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce compliance policies
- Track and report on compliance metrics and key performance indicators
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures
- Conduct regular assessments to identify compliance gaps
- Coordinate responses to compliance-related findings and recommendations
- Manage documentation for standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance inquiries from internal teams
- Monitor changes in legal and regulatory landscapes affecting security
- Support incident response efforts with compliance considerations
- Facilitate training and awareness initiatives related to security compliance
- Work with third parties to assess their compliance posture
- Ensure proper handling and retention of compliance records
- Participate in risk assessment activities with a compliance lens
- Help integrate compliance requirements into new projects and systems
- Maintain compliance tracking tools and dashboards
- Escalate critical compliance issues to senior management
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the compliance program
- Ensure alignment between technical controls and compliance obligations
- Review contracts and service agreements for compliance implications
- Support certification and recertification efforts for compliance frameworks
- Promote a culture of accountability and compliance awareness
- Provide input on compliance aspects of security architecture
