About the Role
The Senior Accountant will manage key aspects of corporate accounting, including month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the monthly and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts
- Support internal and external audits
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Evaluate and implement new accounting standards
- Streamline accounting processes for efficiency
- Prepare regulatory filings as required
- Support system integration and financial software upgrades
- Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements
- Review contract terms for proper revenue recognition
- Provide financial insights to senior management
- Maintain documentation for financial audits
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Manage fixed asset accounting
- Support special projects as assigned
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems
- Respond to external auditor inquiries
