This role is responsible for maintaining precise financial records and ensuring adherence to GAAP or IFRS standards. The accountant will prepare detailed financial statements, analyze results, and produce supporting documentation for management review and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accuracy of financial data and ensure alignment with established accounting frameworks
- Prepare and review financial reports, including management schedules and performance analyses
- Lead coordination during internal and external audits, providing timely and complete responses
- Perform in-depth account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and apply corrective measures
- Manage month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and accrual tracking
- Evaluate and refine internal controls to enhance financial integrity and process efficiency
- Handle complex sales tax compliance, including return preparation and regulatory filings
- Deliver financial insights through variance analysis and performance reporting
- Collaborate with finance leadership on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Monitor changes in accounting standards such as ASC 842, CECL, and Rev 606 to ensure ongoing compliance
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. Prior work in a Value-Added Reseller or Global Systems Integrator environment is required. The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with GAAP or IFRS, hands-on experience with ERP platforms and Excel, and a strong record of managing financial close processes and audit support. They must be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and skilled in communicating financial information across teams.
