Baptist Health is hiring a Senior Accountant to ensure the accurate preparation and issuance of financial statements, DOR's, and analyses for assigned entities. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance and supporting the financial integrity of our organization.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and issue monthly financial statements, DOR's, and financial analysis for assigned entities.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and conduct analytical reviews of general ledger accounts.
- Maintain detailed account analysis and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Prepare corporate, partnership, 5500, 990, and 990T tax returns.
- Respond to correspondence, inquiries, requests, and notices from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Prepare audit work papers for Baptist Health and the Baptist Health Retirement Plan.
- Submit required information to third-party auditors and administrators like William M. Mercer and VALIC.
- Complete other special projects as assigned by Financial Accounting leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting.
- Two years of experience in public or industrial accounting.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Proficiency in using a 10-key calculator.
Nice to Have
- Certified Public Accountant certification or equivalent industry experience.
