Nielsen is hiring a Senior Account Executive II to drive revenue and forge strategic partnerships across the digital audio ecosystem for its Audio line of business. You will play a critical role in accelerating the division's growth by engaging with major streaming platforms, podcast networks, and key advertisers, positioning Nielsen as the essential data and measurement partner in a rapidly evolving landscape.
What You'll Do
- Execute sales strategy to achieve and exceed ambitious revenue targets for Nielsen's digital audio measurement products.
- Prospect and acquire new clients within major streaming audio platforms, podcast networks, and digital audio publishers to meet individual annual quotas.
- Deliver against New Business sales targets for podcast networks, streaming platforms, and digital audio publishers.
- Own and nurture relationships with C-suite and executive-level decision-makers within target organizations.
- Identify and capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base.
- Independently manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification to negotiating and closing contracts.
- Structure complex commercial agreements with major media companies, demonstrating expert negotiation and closing skills.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the digital audio landscape, including business models, competitive offerings, and audience measurement standards.
- Apply a strong working knowledge of the audio ad technology space, including programmatic trading, SSPs, DSPs, and ad verification.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for your assigned territory and client roster.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Client Service teams to relay market feedback and influence product roadmaps.
- Collaborate with operations, enablement, marketing, and product teams to drive customer satisfaction.
- Translate complex measurement solutions into clear, tangible client value propositions.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and a detailed pipeline using CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Represent Nielsen at key industry events to build brand visibility and cultivate a robust network.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of successful experience in a data-driven digital audio sales role, covering podcasting and streaming audio revenue streams.
- Extensive and current contacts in the streaming audio and podcasting industry, with a history of leveraging these for revenue generation.
- Proven experience managing complex accounts and closing deals with C-level executives at major media companies, podcast networks, streaming platforms, and advertising agencies.
- Solid understanding of the audio ad tech space, including measurement, programmatic, attribution, verification, SSPs, and DSPs.
- Deep understanding of the digital audio and podcast industry, including current state and future trends.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines and revenue goals.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities for executive audiences.
- Expert negotiation and closing skills with the ability to structure complex commercial agreements.
- Ability to translate complex solutions into clear client value propositions and serve as a thought leader.
- Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines and respond to clients promptly.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple responsibilities, and work with diverse customers and internal teams.
