Veredus - DC is hiring a Security Specialist with CISSP and PMP

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the client to oversee information assurance initiatives and define security policy in alignment with FRTIB leadership or the HP Program Manager.
• Oversee the implementation quality of information security policies, processes, and procedures for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board.
• Support strategic risk management for information systems by monitoring the development and enforcement of security controls.
• Provide guidance on, draft, track, and update high-level security policies and their related operational procedures.
• Define, track, and sustain performance metrics for information security initiatives.
• Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of a continuous monitoring program for information security, including advising and oversight.
• Engage in research, design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of emerging information security practices within the Office of Technology Services.
• Ensure compliance with organizational configuration standards, directives, and agency-wide information security policies to maintain a secure environment for staff and partners.
