MiWay is looking for a Security Solutions Architect to define and govern secure cloud architectures across the organisation, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while maintaining oversight across AWS and Azure. The role is part of the Information Governance and Security (IGS) function within the Discovery Group, a company whose core purpose is to make people healthier and enhance their lives.
What You'll Do
- Define and own cloud security architecture standards.
- Design and review secure GCP, AWS, and Azure landing zones, aligned to identity-driven security architectures.
- Act as the design architect for GCP security architectures, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Define enterprise cloud security baselines aligned to ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Benchmarks.
- Guide Zero Trust architectures and security monitoring patterns.
- Provide architectural oversight for DevSecOps and secure software supply chains, including secure CI/CD, automated scanning, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
- Apply cloud-agnostic security principles across multiple platforms.
- Consult on security architectures for existing cloud environments and new cloud onboarding initiatives.
- Define secure connectivity patterns between cloud platforms and on-premises environments.
- Support consolidation and rationalisation of cloud accounts, subscriptions, and projects.
- Demonstrate strong IaC literacy, with the ability to read, understand, review, and assess IaC code.
- Participate in the development of information governance and privacy strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience defining and governing cloud security architectures, with GCP as a primary focus.
- Expertise in designing secure landing zones and architectures for GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Deep knowledge of security frameworks and benchmarks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS.
- Hands-on experience guiding Zero Trust implementations and security monitoring.
- Strong background in architecting for DevSecOps, including secure CI/CD patterns and policy enforcement.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code principles and the ability to review IaC code.
- Experience designing secure connectivity for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Ability to act as a trusted technical advisor and provide security consulting to support teams.
- Skills in supporting cloud account and subscription consolidation efforts.
