About the Role
The Security Engineer will strengthen cybersecurity defenses by managing security posture, enforcing hygiene standards, and enabling AI-based security solutions across the enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance the organization's overall cybersecurity posture
- Implement and monitor security hygiene practices across systems and networks
- Support the integration of artificial intelligence into security operations and tools
- Conduct regular assessments to identify security gaps and vulnerabilities
- Develop automated workflows for threat detection and response
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce security policies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats and attack patterns
- Deploy and manage security tools for endpoint, network, and cloud environments
- Assist in the configuration and optimization of SIEM platforms
- Lead initiatives to improve security awareness and compliance
- Monitor security metrics and report on key performance indicators
- Support incident response activities with data analysis and remediation guidance
- Ensure alignment with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
- Participate in risk assessment and third-party security evaluations
- Drive automation in security validation and control testing
- Contribute to secure software development practices and DevSecOps integration
- Manage identity and access controls to reduce attack surface
- Analyze logs and security events to detect anomalous behavior
- Support cloud security configuration and compliance efforts
- Work with cross-functional teams to embed security into business processes
- Evaluate new security technologies with a focus on AI and machine learning
- Document security architectures, processes, and control implementations
- Respond to audit findings and support remediation efforts
- Promote a culture of security accountability across departments
