As a Security Engineer focused on Cloud Security, you will protect Neko Health’s Azure environment within a regulated healthcare setting. You will design and implement robust security controls, monitor for threats, ensure compliance, and enable secure cloud infrastructure development at scale.
What You'll Do
- Harden and secure Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, and databases.
- Configure and monitor Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Develop and enforce policy-as-code using Terraform and ARM templates.
- Conduct architecture reviews and threat modelling for cloud services.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into infrastructure-as-code.
- Support incident response and maintain audit-ready security documentation.
- Establish and enforce secure baselines across Azure infrastructure, improving overall cloud security posture and risk visibility.
- Implement and optimize Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Sentinel monitoring, strengthening threat detection and response capabilities.
- Introduce and mature policy-as-code practices for infrastructure deployments, ensuring consistent and auditable security enforcement.
- Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security into infrastructure-as-code and architecture design.
- Support cloud-related incident response and produce audit-ready evidence aligned to regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with Azure security services including Defender for Cloud and Sentinel.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, least privilege, and identity protection.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and HIPAA.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
- Experience integrating SIEM/SOAR platforms and cloud monitoring solutions.
