Role Overview
As a Security Analyst at Tier 1, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and resilience of the organization’s cybersecurity environment. Your primary responsibility is to monitor security systems, detect potential threats, and conduct initial assessment and escalation of alerts. You will support structured incident response processes and help ensure the continuity of critical IT operations during security events.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor cybersecurity systems to identify potential threats and anomalies
- Perform initial analysis and triage of security alerts, determining severity and appropriate next steps
- Support incident response activities in line with established procedures and playbooks
- Document findings, actions taken, and outcomes during incident handling
- Collaborate with internal and external security teams, including SOCs and CSIRTs, to ensure coordinated responses
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of detection and response mechanisms
- Follow defined protocols for communication and escalation during security incidents
- Contribute to testing and improving incident response readiness
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields such as networking, operating systems, or programming fundamentals
- Familiarity with incident handling frameworks, best practices, and standard procedures
- Understanding of operating system and network security principles
- Knowledge of common cyber threats, attack methods, and system vulnerabilities
- Working knowledge of tools used in security operations and incident management
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity regulations, compliance standards, and legal requirements
- Experience with or exposure to SOC or CSIRT operations
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
Preferred Qualifications
- Holdings in cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA+, CompTIA Security+, or CSA
Work Environment
This position is based in Slovakia with flexible remote working options. The role operates within a structured security framework that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Monthly salary starting at 1300 EUR, adjusted based on experience and qualifications
