CHS Inc. is looking for a Seasonal Truck Driver to support the spring planting season in Lemmon, SD. You will deliver fertilizer to our customers in a timely and professional manner from March to June. This role is essential to our mission of creating connections to empower agriculture.
What You'll Do
- Ensure accurate and timely pick up and deliveries to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, assisting with loading or unloading as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by treating customers professionally, greeting them promptly and courteously, and promptly handling all concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations including pre-trip/post-trip reporting, load securement, and hours of service.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s) inside and out, and your work environment.
- Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure proper equipment maintenance is completed, including repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture by following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and identifying and communicating workplace hazards.
- Report all incidents, accidents, and traffic violations immediately to your supervisor.
- Enroll in and complete the mandatory CHS random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program.
- Assist operational staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned, which may include intercompany related driving.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals.
Nice to Have
- Valid Class A CDL.
- An agriculture background.
- Customer service experience.
