About the Role

Barclays is looking for a Scrum Master in Pune to manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank. You will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the software product lifecycle. What You'll Do

  • Manage the delivery, resource allocation, and improvement of complex technical project capabilities using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and sprint execution.
  • Collaborate with customers, business teams, software engineers, quality teams, and product managers to deliver high-quality products aligned with bank objectives, regulation, and security policies.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges.
  • Manage change requests and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure delivery according to agreed terms.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends to evaluate and adopt new approaches for improving delivery outcomes.
  • Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance.
  • Lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, and identify the need for cross-functional specialisation.
  • Identify new directions for projects and consult on complex issues to support the resolution of escalated problems.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to your work.
  • Perform work closely related to other areas, understanding how they coordinate to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with other business-aligned support areas to stay informed on business activity and strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong understanding of Scaled Agile and Scrum practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder facilitation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile tooling (JIRA) and reporting practices.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to drive an Agile mindset and team culture.
  • Understanding of the Liquidity / Corporate Banking domain.
  • Ability to work across multi-disciplinary, distributed POD structures.

Work Mode

This position is based in Pune and follows a local-city work mode.
