Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Scientist for our Medical Device team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting chemical characterization analysis by interpreting LCMS and GCMS data from medical devices, adhering to ISO 10993-18 standards. This is a high-throughput, moderate-paced position offering hybrid flexibility.
What You'll Do
- Assist in data interpretation for GCMS and LCMS instruments.
- Conduct the interpretation and identification of LCMS and/or GCMS extractable data for the chemical characterization of medical devices per ISO 10993-18.
- Work on high-throughput, moderate-paced analysis projects.
What We're Looking For
- An MS degree in Chemistry or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience OR a PhD in Chemistry or a related field with 1+ year of industry experience.
- LCMS and/or GCMS data interpretation experience is required. Instrument operation alone is not sufficient.
- Laboratory experience and familiarity with several LCMS/GCMS techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent professional, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a critical observer of results and processes.
- An understanding of method development and validation processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Thermo LCMS data interpretation or Agilent GCMS data interpretation.
- Experience with Compound Discoverer (LCMS) or Unknowns Analysis (GCMS).
- Experience with unknown compound identification.
- Experience with high resolution data.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based primarily on-site in our Maryland Heights, Missouri laboratory, with some remote flexibility.
