Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is looking for an SAP SCM Tech Lead to own the technical architecture, development, and implementation of SAP Supply Chain Management solutions that support our utility field operations. You will define and govern the end-to-end architecture for Procure-to-Pay, inventory, warehouse, logistics, and vendor management processes, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba.
What You'll Do
- Lead design and governance of SAP SCM solutions, standards, and technical roadmaps; chair design reviews and ensure alignment with utility operations.
- Drive optimization of P2P processes, including requisitions, sourcing, purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoice verification; oversee vendor master data strategy.
- Design and implement RFQs, contracts, and purchasing frameworks with robust approval workflows and compliance controls.
- Lead integrations between S/4HANA and Ariba using CPI/BTP, OData/SOAP, IDocs, and SFTP.
- Architect solutions for inventory, EWM storerooms, and transportation planning to support field operations and maintenance.
- Lead integrations with EAM/PM, IS-U, FI/CO, PS, GIS, and third-party systems.
- Manage technical staff and partner teams; establish development standards and oversee project delivery, testing, and release planning.
- Build dashboards to track supplier performance, spend, and contract compliance; drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP SCM with a required focus on MM.
- 2+ full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.
- 3+ years in a technical lead role.
- A regular driver's license.
- Deep expertise in SAP MM and Fiori apps.
- SAP Ariba integration experience with SLP, Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing.
- Strong understanding of utilities procurement, field logistics, and EAM/PM integration.
- Working knowledge of EWM/TM, ABAP development and troubleshooting, along with performance tuning.
Nice to Have
- SAP MM/SCM and/or Ariba certification.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification.
- EWM/TM experience.
