hey contact heroes GmbH is looking for a freelance SAP Basis Support Consultant to provide system administration, monitoring, and software management for client SAP landscapes. This remote role focuses on proactive support, deployment coordination, and maintaining system performance.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the deployment of SAP software packages.
- Provide user support on the SAP Marketplace (e.g., booking Early Watch or Go-Live sessions).
- Handle related administrative Basis tasks.
- Set up and maintain the Change and Transport System (CTS).
- Configure SAP Help modules and install specific clients.
- Support SAP GUI setup and updates across systems.
- Evaluate and maintain SAP GUI versions.
- Coordinate system upgrades and software installations.
- Manage software distribution of the SAP GUI.
- Support and maintain SAP forms/masks and printing configurations.
- Perform other agreed administrative tasks.
- Monitor the Change and Transport System (CTS).
- Track and analyze batch jobs (job monitoring).
- Monitor SAP transactions and internal interfaces.
- Generate and maintain system and performance reports.
- Create and maintain SAP Administration, General, and Development users.
- Handle general user management (creation, deletion, authorizations).
- Check printer availability and job status.
- Manage printing issues and configurations.
- Coordinate with output management systems.
- Perform testing of SAP systems in the primary data center.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- Hands-on experience with CTS, job monitoring, user administration, and system configuration.
- Good understanding of SAP system architecture and landscape management.
- Experience with SAP GUI deployment and version control.
- Familiar with SAP Solution Manager and EarlyWatch / Go-Live sessions.
- Ability to analyze system logs and dumps.
- Structured, reliable, and proactive working style.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Candidates must be based in Europe.
Nice to Have
- ABAP knowledge is a plus, but no development required.
