Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is hiring a Sander for our Intersand team in Corona, CA. In this role, you will work exclusively in the sanding pre- and post-paint production process for electric guitar bodies, ensuring quality and precision in our manufacturing line.
What You'll Do
- Manually sand electric guitar bodies using specific up/down and counterclockwise motions.
- Perform quality control inspections of production input and output.
- Make very minor corrections to irregularities on guitar bodies.
- Clean and maintain your immediate work area in a clean, repaired, and organized manner.
- Follow instructions from your Supervisor and all approved procedures.
- Ensure your own production conforms to quality requirements and the production schedule.
- Handle and store all regulated materials in compliance with company policy, state, federal regulations, and material safety data sheets.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Good hand dexterity.
- Basic knowledge of the correct use of hand power tools.
- Ability to adhere to safety procedures, rules, and regulations at all times.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses) on the factory floor.
- Communicates and works well with others.
Nice to Have
- 6 months – 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Guitar or musical background.
