Trane Technologies is hiring a Sales Enablement Engineering Team Leader to lead a team dedicated to supporting our field sales organization for Custom Air Handling Units. You will guide and coach engineers who act as critical product experts, providing design, pricing, and technical support while gathering business data to enhance our proprietary software.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of Sales Enablement Engineers in daily support of the field sales organization and own customer satisfaction metrics.
- Develop and manage talent strategy using skills matrices and succession planning.
- Coach team members to advance their technical knowledge and personal development goals.
- Assist in resolving conflicts with internal or external customers.
- Provide application, budget, layout, competitive review, takeoff, selection, and pricing support for field sales.
- Offer technical assistance for users of the Trane Select Assist (TSA) software, specifically for Field Selectable Custom Air Handlers.
- Serve as an internal champion for field customers while balancing internal and external needs.
- Assist the field sales organization in developing bid strategies and optimizing product bills of material.
- Act as the point of contact for critical-to-close order opportunities.
- Partner with the Product Management team to assist with developing and executing commercialization plans for airside products.
- Support TSA defect reduction and testing efforts through active involvement in system improvement.
- Utilize Lean thinking to develop and improve standard work and processes.
- Host or co-host customer factory visits and factory witness testing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
- 3 years’ experience with a degree, or 10 years’ equivalent experience working in the HVAC industry.
Nice to Have
- Experience as a people manager.
- Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning/refrigeration (HVAC/R) fundamentals.
- Experience in AutoCAD.
- Lean or continuous improvement experience.
- Effective and clear decision-making under pressure.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

- Compensation range: $90,000 - $125,000.
