Role Overview
Help ensure the safety and efficiency of roadways in Fairfax, VA, by providing essential roadside assistance and traffic incident support. This position operates around the clock, every day of the year, responding to traffic disruptions and aiding drivers in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to traffic incidents and identify hazards affecting roadway safety.
- Set up temporary traffic controls to protect emergency personnel and the public.
- Remove debris and obstructions from travel lanes to restore normal traffic flow.
- Assist stranded drivers with services such as tire changes, fuel delivery, and radiator water replenishment.
- Provide access to communication tools for motorists needing tow or recovery services.
- Coordinate with emergency response teams to ensure scene safety and efficient operations.
Qualifications
Candidates must be prepared to work variable shifts, including on-call assignments based on operational demands. All selected individuals will be required to complete a certification program to ensure readiness for field responsibilities.
