As a Ruby on Rails Developer at Commututus, you will work within a cross-functional squad to design, build, and scale digital platforms for startups and corporates. You'll play a key role in developing core frameworks and implementing features using Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and platform-level gems across multiple client products.
What You'll Do
- Assist in ideating features by providing inputs based on research or experience
- Advise the team on the feasibility of ideas and offer alternative approaches to achieve feature objectives
- Assist the squad in planning and estimating features to ensure timely delivery and expected functionality
- Build frameworks such as file exports and rate limiting that are deployed across 50+ platforms via gem updates
- Streamline client-specific functionality such as inventory management for e-commerce brands or launching course managers for EdTech startups using Platform Gem and GraphQL APIs
- Play an active role in team retrospective events by flagging problems and frustrations and offering solutions

- Contributed to open source, built developer tools or plugins
- Sound understanding of deploying apps to staging or production via automated tools such as Github Actions

Compensation: ₹8L – ₹11L per annum
