Requirements
- Fluent or near-fluent Japanese language skills, both spoken and written
- Background in meteorology, oceanography, or a related maritime field
- Bachelor's degree in oceanography, climatology, geography, or a similar field
- Experience in shipping or maritime industry, with a focus on ship or weather routing
- Knowledge of observation and forecast data, including WaveWatch III, HYCOM, and ECMWF
- Strong grasp of mid- and long-range forecasting and weather patterns
- Proficient in data analysis and modern web applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a plus for experience with Japanese maritime companies
- Availability to work weekend shifts
- Genuine interest in or connection to the oceans
