Flowers Foods is looking for a Route Sales Representative to manage the ordering, sales, and delivery of our fresh baked products. This role is central to building customer relationships and growing our market presence, requiring a flexible schedule with early morning hours.
What You'll Do
- Order, sell, and deliver fresh baked products to customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Check delivery vehicle daily, keep accurate records, and report maintenance issues.
- Complete daily driver’s logs, time logs, and hours-of-service documentation.
- Increase sales by expanding shelf space and creatively executing in-store promotions and displays.
- Maximize product shelf life by properly rotating products.
- Use data and marketing plans to drive customer growth through communication, planning, ordering, and execution.
- Service accounts during designated customer service windows, which may require non-traditional business hours.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have had a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
- Must have a valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record.
- Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines.
- Must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding the operation of a CMV.
- Must execute the best practices of RSR training (after 4-week company paid training).
- Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Nice to Have
- Sales experience.
- Delivery driver experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
