Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is looking for a Road Maintenance Worker (Straßenwärter/Straßenbauer) or a career changer for this role at the Autobahnmeisterei Fürstenwalde. You will perform essential maintenance, repair, and winter service on federal highways and their related infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Execute maintenance, repair, care, and cleaning of the road body, ancillary facilities, and road equipment, including road surface repairs and paving work.
- Erect, maintain, and check traffic signs and control devices.
- Secure and control work sites and accident sites to ensure traffic safety.
- Perform green and shrubbery maintenance alongside roadways.
- Carry out winter service duties on assigned federal highways and ancillary facilities.
What We're Looking For
- For Road Maintenance Workers: Completed vocational training as a road maintenance worker or road builder.
- For Career Changers: Completed vocational training in crafts, preferably construction, agriculture, forestry, or horticulture, with a willingness to undergo a qualification program in road operation services.
- A valid driver's license class B and C/CE, or the willingness to acquire the C/CE license at the employer's expense.
- Willingness to operate service vehicles.
- Physical resilience for the demands of the role.
- Willingness to work shifts and be on-call for winter and summer service duties.
Team & Environment
You will join the team at the Autobahnmeisterei Fürstenwalde, contributing directly to the upkeep and safety of the federal highway network.

- No weekend classes; paid training materials and C/CE driver's license acquisition.
- Initial classification into pay group 4 of the TV-Autobahn collective agreement.
- After successfully passing the qualification program, classification into pay group 6 of the TV-Autobahn.
- Compensation is pay group E6 according to the TV-Autobahn collective agreement, with the exact pay grade determined by individual work experience.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at the Autobahnmeisterei Fürstenwalde.
