Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is hiring a Road Maintenance Worker (Straßenwärter/Straßenbauer) for the Berlin Autobahnmeisterei. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and care of autobahn infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient roads.
What You'll Do
- Execute repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of road surfaces, ancillary facilities, and equipment, including paving and marking work.
- Set up, maintain, and check traffic signs and control devices.
- Secure and control work zones and accident sites to ensure traffic safety.
- Perform green and shrubbery care along the roadway.
- Carry out winter service duties on assigned federal autobahns and ancillary facilities.
What We're Looking For
- Completed vocational training as a Road Maintenance Worker or Road Builder (w/m/d).
- Alternately, successfully completed vocational training in a craft (preferably in construction, agriculture, forestry, or horticulture) with a willingness to undergo qualification training for career changers.
- Possession of a driver's license class B and willingness to acquire/possess class C/CE license.
- Willingness to drive service vehicles.
- Strong physical resilience for demanding outdoor work.
- Willingness to work shifts and be on-call for winter and summer service.

You will be joining the team at the Berlin Autobahnmeisterei.

- After successfully passing the qualification program, classification into pay group 6 (E6) of the TV-Autobahn.
