Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is hiring an RN Operating Room to deliver professional nursing care within the perioperative arena at Allegheny General Hospital. You will provide care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. AHN employees trust working together and place patients at the center of all they do.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the use of supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for pre and intraoperative care, ensuring equipment functions properly.
- Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition, managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Act as a patient advocate and document preoperative and intraoperative care in compliance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory agency standards.
- Monitor the surgical environment to ensure the surgical team follows aseptic technique.
What We're Looking For
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- CPR certification
Nice to Have
- Operating Room (OR) experience
