AdventHealth is hiring an RN House Supervisor to work full-time night shifts (6:00 pm - 6:00 am, 36 hours per week) at our Kissimmee, Florida location. In this pivotal role, you will represent nursing administration during off-shifts, overseeing patient care units and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care. The core of this position is providing clinical leadership, managing emergencies, and fostering a supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
What You'll Do
- Round and assess patient care units to evaluate patient conditions, identify staffing needs, and provide direct support to caregivers.
- Advise and direct nursing personnel, respond to Code Blue situations, and manage clinical emergencies effectively.
- Act as the liaison for patient movement and bed assignments, promoting cost-effective management of staffing, equipment, and supplies.
- Represent nursing administration during off-shifts, authorize consent or treatment during admissions, and serve as incident commander for disasters.
- Provide direction and collaborate with hospital leadership during significant events, including organizational codes and system downtimes.
- Foster exceptional patient experiences through compassionate communication and effective relationships with patients, visitors, staff, and leadership.
