About the Role

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is hiring an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join a quality improvement consulting team. In this technically exciting role, you will support internal and external customers nationwide, assessing healthcare facilities' compliance with federal regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a team member or leader on various surveys including re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, and revisits for long-term and non-long-term care facilities.
  • Travel nationally to healthcare facilities to assess compliance with quality-of-care regulations.
  • Apply approved survey protocols while conducting on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified facilities.
  • Perform survey preparations such as off-site analysis, facility tours, care observations, record reviews, and staff/family interviews.
  • Determine if care, treatment, and services are consistent with Federal requirements.
  • Evaluate multiple aspects of the healthcare system, from quality of care to consumer rights and the physical plant.
  • Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel throughout the review and during exit conferences.
  • Assess the acceptability of corrective action plans.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to verify implementation of plans of correction.
  • Assist with facility and bureau training and participate in work groups as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and a passed Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  • At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.
  • Current, active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • A demonstrated history of independent decision-making skills to direct and manage the survey process effectively.
  • Ability to set priorities independently and collectively when performing survey tasks.
  • Ability to openly discuss conflicts and seek assistance when appropriate to make decisions and resolve issues.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis.

Work Mode
