Highmark Inc. is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for the night shift. In this role, you will provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders while working under licensed medical direction.
What You'll Do
- Administer therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.
- Complete all required documentation to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness, including charting, billing, IPOC, and patient/family education.
- Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.
- Provide instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
- Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or a Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice to Have
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Two years’ experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine within a hospital setting.
