The State of Michigan is seeking a Resource Program Analyst to join the Bureau of HIV and STI Programs. This senior-level Disease Intervention Specialist role is critical for preventing, interrupting, and reducing complications from reportable sexually transmitted diseases through technical support and community-level investigation.
What You'll Do
- Function as a primary resource for local health jurisdictions on sexually transmitted infection program issues and HIV prevention strategies.
- Enhance service delivery through consultation, evaluation, and technical assistance for local program activities.
- Work to prevent the occurrence, interrupt the transmission, and reduce complications of all reportable sexually transmitted diseases.
- Conduct community investigations and client interviews for the most complex cases, such as those involving pregnant women, congenital syphilis, and neurological syphilis.
- Respond to requests from local health agencies, schools, community-based organizations, and health departments for information and materials.
What We're Looking For
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in behavioral science, biology, child, family and human relations, clinical psychology, community or consumer services, criminal justice, family and consumer resources, guidance and counseling, health science or science, home economics, human or family ecology, human development or services, human resources development (human services), organizational behavioral science, public health, psychology, rehabilitation counseling or administration, social science, social services, social work, or sociology.
- For the Resource Program Analyst 9 level: No specific amount or type of experience required.
- For the Resource Program Analyst 10 level: One year of professional experience evaluating, planning, and developing human services programs equivalent to a Resource Program Analyst in state service.
- For the Resource Program Analyst P11 level: Two years of professional experience evaluating, planning, and developing human services programs equivalent to a Resource Program Analyst in state service, including one year equivalent to Resource Program Analyst 10.
- For the Resource Program Analyst 12 level: Three years of professional experience evaluating, planning, and developing human services programs, including one year equivalent to Resource Program Analyst 11.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and a criminal records check.

You will join the Bureau of HIV and STI Programs, specifically within the Division of HIV/STI Programs, Client, and Partner Services.
Work Mode
This position offers a hybrid work model. The primary location is 700 Fuller NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
