About the Role

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is looking for a Resource Mobilization Assistant Consultant. In this role, you will provide critical operational and administrative support to the Resource Mobilization Unit, focusing on engagement with contributors in Europe. You will assist in driving replenishment and resource mobilization activities, ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication for a mission-driven organization committed to making a measurable difference.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct desk research on European contributor countries’ budgetary trends, ODA flows, and key policy priorities to inform GCF’s engagement and resource mobilization strategies.
  • Support outreach and engagement with contributors in Europe, including preparing briefing notes, conducting analytical work, and coordinating input from various departments across the Secretariat.
  • Draft official documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain and update the contributor engagement databases, including CRM.
  • Coordinate internal communications flow, ensuring timely dissemination of information and responding to routine information requests.

What We're Looking For

  • A Master’s degree in development studies, finance, climate change, economics, public affairs, political science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in resource mobilization, international relations, or governmental administration.
  • Experience and knowledge in development and/or climate finance, multilateral funds, and familiarity with the UNFCCC framework.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and deliver quality work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • A strong understanding of GCF policies and processes related to resource mobilization, as well as the broader international climate finance landscape and the policy and authorizing environments of contributors in Europe.
  • Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.

You will join a fast-paced, diverse environment, working under the overall guidance of the Director of DPRM.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position based in Songdo, Incheon City, Republic of Korea.
