Lear Corporation is looking for a Resident Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between our customer and internal engineering teams. In this role, you will be embedded at the customer site to facilitate product development, ensure timely resolution of technical issues, and support seamless product integration.
What You'll Do
- Act as the main technical contact between the customer and internal engineering teams.
- Support issue investigation, debugging, and resolution during development and testing phases.
- Coordinate technical discussions, anomaly reports, and design reviews.
- Manage engineering changes and documentation releases within customer systems.
- Support prototype builds, vehicle testing, and product integration activities.
- Maintain regular communication with customer teams and internal stakeholders.
- Support new business activities like RFI/RFQ processes and related technical discussions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with embedded software development in automotive systems.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR standards and automotive diagnostics.
- Experience with debugging tools such as Lauterbach or Trace32.
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with tools such as CANoe, JIRA, DOORS, and SVN.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working directly with OEM customers.
