What You'll Do
Design and implement digital logic for FPGAs using VHDL, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Develop and refine FPGA architectures targeting AMD/Xilinx Ultrascale Plus devices to meet demanding speed and latency requirements in networking applications.
Integrate FPGA components with embedded processors and high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, DDR4, and AXI. Conduct functional simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing analysis using standard EDA tools including Vivado and ModelSim, ensuring designs meet timing closure and performance goals.
Utilize development tools like Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to manage code, track tasks, and support automated testing and integration. Produce clear technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and user guides, for both internal and external use.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and field teams to define system requirements and align technical implementation with business objectives. Support lab validation, platform bring-up, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG tools. Help improve FPGA design workflows and contribute to best practices across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proficiency in VHDL for FPGA design and implementation
- Experience with AMD/Xilinx Ultrascale Plus FPGAs and associated toolchains
- Strong knowledge of high-speed interfaces: PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, DDR4, AXI
- Familiarity with EDA tools such as Vivado and ModelSim
- Experience using version control, issue tracking, and CI/CD systems (e.g., Git, Jira, CI/CD)
- Ability to debug and validate hardware in lab environments
- Solid understanding of digital design principles and FPGA development workflows
