Applied Intuition is seeking Research Interns to join its Research Group, focusing on developing world-action foundation models for physical AI applications such as end-to-end autonomous driving and robotic generalists. Interns will conduct advanced research using multimodal data and contribute to high-impact publications in top-tier conferences.
What You'll Do
- Conduct research on pretraining world-action foundation model with various world modalities including vision and physics associated with ego actions, serving the purpose for both robot action and simulation world generation
- Dive into relevant topics such as vision-physics modality association, feed-forward Gaussian splat0ing, world foundation model, human data incorporation, language modality, spatial reasoning, deformable object modeling and simulation
- Work closely with Research Scientists and Engineers on high quality research publications for submission to top-tier conferences
- Contribute to and learn from best practices in the autonomy and robotics industries within a fast-paced and customer-focused culture
- Deploy research improvements into various autonomous and robotic systems including self-driving cars/trucks, autonomous mining/construction machines, humanoid robots and dexterous hands
What We're Looking For
- Current PhD (or MSc) studies in machine learning, computer vision and graphics, robotics
- Strong research background and skills on relevant topics
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects
- Passion for next-generation, scalable autonomy and robotics
