Uptalent.io is hiring a Remote Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of mission-critical power systems for advanced infrastructure. You will collaborate with U.S.-based engineering teams on projects including data centers, generator plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role is central to developing reliable and efficient electrical power solutions for high-demand environments.
What You'll Do
- Design and support electrical power systems for data center infrastructure, including medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systems.
- Support the integration of large generator plants for backup power in mission-critical environments.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including battery systems, inverters, and energy management systems.
- Coordinate electrical system layouts and equipment integration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and coordination meetings with U.S.-based teams.
What We're Looking For
- Electrical Engineering degree.
- 8+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
- Proven experience working on data center electrical infrastructure.
- Experience with backup power systems and generator integration.
- Exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or large-scale energy storage projects.
- Strong knowledge of medium-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working on U.S.-based engineering projects.
- Experience working with hyperscale data center projects.
