We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and deployment systems. In this role, you will design, maintain, and secure scalable solutions on AWS while driving automation and reliability across services. This is a remote position open exclusively to U.S. residents.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and enhance AWS services including ECS/Fargate, RDS with Postgres, S3, IAM, and VPC configurations
- Build and refine CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for efficient, repeatable deployments
- Implement infrastructure as code through Terraform to ensure consistency and version control
- Develop monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry for logs, alerts, and performance visibility
- Enforce security best practices by design, including access controls and compliance-ready configurations
- Support readiness for SOC 2 and HIPAA standards through documentation and system hardening
- Write automation scripts in Python and Bash for operational tasks, backups, and deployment workflows
- Optimize Postgres performance, manage access, and coordinate schema migrations
- Begin planning and prototyping container orchestration with EKS or Kubernetes as infrastructure demands grow
What We’re Looking For
- At least three years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Site Reliability Engineering roles
- Proven work with AWS, particularly ECS and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
- Hands-on experience building monitoring systems and managing incident response workflows
- Strong scripting ability in Python and Bash for automation and tooling
- Production experience with Postgres databases
Nice to Have
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible
- Background supporting compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or SOC 2
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or EKS, or a strong interest in growing expertise in this area
- Exposure to AI/ML environments involving GPU resources and model deployment pipelines
Why This Role Stands Out
You’ll have the freedom to shape both technology and team practices. With direct access to leadership and product decisions, you’ll help define how systems are built and operated. There’s no red tape—just fast iteration, clear ownership, and the chance to leave a lasting impact on the platform’s direction.
