Role OverviewWe're seeking a licensed Registered Dietitian to deliver virtual nutrition care for individuals recovering from eating disorders. Using a family-based treatment model, you'll guide patients and their support systems through nutritional rehabilitation, helping rebuild healthy relationships with food in a structured, compassionate way.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and adjust personalized meal plans aligned with clinical progress and patient needs
- Conduct telehealth sessions with patients and families, including initial assessments and ongoing nutritional monitoring
- Support exposure to fear foods and challenge unhelpful beliefs about nutrition, weight, and body image
- Coordinate consistently with therapists, medical providers, and care teams to maintain unified messaging
- Document care plans, progress notes, and treatment updates in our electronic health record system
- Reassess nutritional requirements regularly and share recommendations with the care team and family
- Provide education that counters disordered thinking using evidence-based approaches
- Help prepare patients and families for transitions in care and eventual discharge
- Attend required clinical meetings, supervision sessions, and team huddles
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree approved by ACEND and be licensed as an RDN. You should be able to manage a caseload of up to 80 patients over a year-long treatment period. A minimum of 29 weekly hours of direct patient care is required, including 16 hours after 2 p.m. in the patient’s time zone and availability until 8 p.m. on two evenings per week. Experience in interdisciplinary care, strong organizational abilities, and adaptability in a fast-moving clinical environment are essential.
Previous experience treating eating disorders is valued. Familiarity with family-based treatment models is helpful but not required.
Work Environment & Benefits
This is a fully remote position with scheduling flexibility between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the patient’s local time zone. You’ll receive a $50 monthly internet stipend and a one-time $500 home office setup allowance, with additional reloads every few years. A company-issued laptop is provided.
