About the Role
The role involves delivering psychiatric services remotely to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, medication management, and therapy planning, within a flexible independent contractor model.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adults, and older adults
- Diagnose and manage mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams when needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Nice to Have
- Experience in telepsychiatry or virtual care settings
- Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish
- Additional state licenses
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
- Training in trauma-informed care
