EX Squared is looking for a Principal Backend Engineer to take a leadership role in architecting and delivering high-scale backend systems. You will be a key technical voice, setting standards and guiding technical direction.

What You'll Do

Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex backend services.
Own the technical strategy and roadmap for critical backend systems.
Establish and champion engineering best practices, standards, and patterns.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers on the team.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

What We're Looking For

Extensive experience as a Principal or Senior Staff-level Backend Engineer.
Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, distributed backend systems.
Deep expertise in system architecture, performance optimization, and scalability.
Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Experience leading technical initiatives and making high-stakes architectural decisions.
