UFP Site Built is looking for a Multifamily Designer to design the structural backbone of residential and commercial buildings. In this role, you'll collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective designs.
What You'll Do
- Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels using industry-leading Mitek software.
- Create optimized layouts for roof and floor trusses, walls, and other structural components.
- Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy and efficiency.
- Support sales and production teams with design expertise and troubleshooting.
- Prepare reports and documentation as needed.
- Continuously improve design processes and resource utilization.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in multifamily or commercial design.
- Proficiency with Mitek software is a must.
- Strong understanding of floor and roof systems, including beam and hanger specifications.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- A passion for precision, innovation, and collaboration.
