Pearl Abyss is looking for a Remote Localisation Specialist (French) to proofread, translate, and prepare content for the French language region. In this collaborative role, you will help accelerate our gaming reach across Europe by working with various internal teams.
What You'll Do
- Localize announcements, patch notes, web content, marketing assets, templates, press releases, and the game wiki.
- Test game translation quality, consistency, and language correctness according to specifications.
- Proofread and revise translated content in French.
- Provide assistance and support to the live service.
- Conduct local market research, monitor in-game and community trends, and give feedback on event ideation.
What We're Looking For
- Native or bilingual proficiency in French.
- A high level of English proficiency is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Attention to detail and a positive personality.
- 1 year of gaming translation experience or in a similar role.
- Passion for video games.
- Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team; self-starter, able to work independently.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge about Pearl Abyss's products, especially Black Desert.
- Experience with fantasy lore and its common glossary.
- Proficiency in Korean is a big plus.

This is a highly collaborative role working with results-oriented teams including Live-ops, Marketing, Project Management, and Public Relations.
Work Mode
This is a remote position for candidates based in Europe, with a specific focus on France.
