PeopleCert is hiring Remote English Speaking Examiners to assess candidates' speaking proficiency for the LanguageCert International ESOL exam suite. You will play a key role in delivering a professional and standardized online exam experience globally, upholding our values of Quality, Passion, Integrity, and Innovation.
What You'll Do
- Conduct online spoken interviews in strict accordance with the scripted Interlocutor Framework and LanguageCert regulations.
- Manage the exam interaction to facilitate candidate performance and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Assess candidate performance fairly and consistently using LanguageCert's stringent assessment criteria.
- Authenticate candidate identity and safeguard exam integrity in line with PeopleCert's standards.
- Implement basic troubleshooting protocols to ensure the candidate's technical environment supports a smooth testing experience.
- Attend required LanguageCert trainings and standardization sessions.
- Observe strict confidentiality of all examination material and maintain security at all times.
- Provide feedback on assessment material as required.
- Maintain a remote work arrangement that fulfills all essential responsibilities and meets LanguageCert's stringent criteria.
- Follow collective agreements and company policies, ensuring access to required work tools and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Report any issues immediately to supervisors through designated channels.
- Carry out any reasonably allocated duties relevant to the role, applying a flexible, customer-centric approach to serve global operations across multiple time zones.
- Align all work and presence with the organization's core values.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in English Language, Linguistics, Education, ELT/TESOL, or any undergraduate degree plus a Level 5 or above TEFL/TESOL qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 4 years of full-time TEFL teaching experience (freelance and volunteer work is excluded).
- Demonstrable experience in English language assessment examining with awarding bodies.
- Exceptional, native-level (C2) command of English, with excellent listening, writing, and speaking skills, clear enunciation, and the ability to adapt communication.
- A very good level of IT literacy and familiarity with online communication platforms like Microsoft Teams.
- Full familiarity with the levels of the Common European Framework (CEFR) and a working knowledge of it.
- Strong organizational skills, self-driven, flexible, and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
Nice to Have
- A postgraduate or research degree and/or additional teaching qualifications.
- Prior experience in the certification of persons and/or in training and examination fields.
