EX Squared is looking for a Remote Data Governance Steward to own and implement data governance frameworks. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, security, and proper usage across our systems and processes.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and standards
- Oversee data quality initiatives, including monitoring, profiling, and remediation
- Define and manage data domains, classifications, and ownership models
- Establish and enforce data security and privacy controls in line with regulations
- Collaborate with data producers and consumers to ensure governance practices are understood and adopted
- Document data lineage, business glossaries, and data dictionaries
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a data governance, stewardship, or data management role
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Experience with data quality tools, metadata management, and data cataloging
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security standards
- Excellent communication skills to articulate policies and drive organizational change
- Ability to work independently and manage projects in a remote setting
