Responsibilities
- Perform daily monitoring of Department of Transportation Hours of Service and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports through the Samsara electronic logging system to detect and resolve potential violations.
- Establish, manage, and terminate federal and state DOT registrations and related regulatory requirements according to operational locations.
- Carry out daily audits of Hours of Service records, and collect and organize supporting documents including Bills of Lading and fuel receipts.
- Communicate with drivers to follow up on missing documentation and notify them of upcoming renewals for Driver Qualification files.
- Track transportation routes and trips using TRAXs software, identifying and correcting any inconsistencies in trip data.
- Forward maintenance issues identified in DVIRs to appropriate supervisors or the Safety Department for resolution.
- Conduct training sessions for drivers and transportation staff on Hours of Service logging via ELD and payroll processes.
- Evaluate safety events in Samsara, escalate high-risk incidents to supervisors, and compile a weekly summary report.
- Verify that all drivers satisfy fleet and Department of Transportation requirements by maintaining complete Driver Qualification files, including licenses, medical certificates, annual driving records, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks.
- Ensure internal policies and procedures are consistently updated to reflect current legal standards and industry regulations.
