Responsibilities

  • Shape design strategy and governance for architectural outputs that interface with nuclear safety cases and regulatory licensing.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet defence standards and best practices.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to stakeholders and industry partners, embedding safety, resilience, and operational readiness into all architectural decisions.
  • Ensure that all facilities are conceived, designed, and delivered in strict adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience in architectural planning, design, and delivery of defence infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated competence in nuclear safety standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to shape design strategy and provide governance over architectural outputs.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator (ANNPSR) requirements.
  • Familiarity with Defence standards and international best practices (IAEA/ONR).
  • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory licensing and safety case integration in architectural design.
