About the Role

TruStage is hiring a Relationship Manager, Intermediary (Retirement Plans) to create and enhance strategic relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and revenue. You'll be responsible for the overall development of relationships with advisors and plan sponsors for plans over $5 million in assets, conducting work face-to-face. What You'll Do

  • Facilitate strategic discussions with assigned plan sponsor accounts to review utilization and success of retirement programs, serving as the trusted contact for plan health and design.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance plan health through activities like adoption of Stable Value, QDIA, Safe Harbor, and Auto features.
  • Retain existing retirement business through proactive retention initiatives and a mutually agreed upon direction with the plan sponsor.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying triggers of dissatisfaction and acting to resolve them.
  • Pursue plans leaving or terminating with surveys and lost reports.
  • Ensure plans meet target profitability through proactive annual review of fees and benchmarking every three years, monitoring plan performance.
  • Participate in customer acquisition deals at the propose or close phase and serve as a liaison between cross-functional teams.
  • Understand and stay abreast of the competitive environment of the financial services industry.
  • Conduct self with high standards of honesty, fairness, and integrity consistent with ethical policies.
  • Foster teamwork and a culture that accepts and responds rapidly to change.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 5 years of proven success in a sales/service role with retirement products and services.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of qualified retirement plan design options.
  • Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate retirement solutions, product information, and services to plan sponsors and their employees.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, relationship building, and customer service skills.
  • Possess or obtain Life Insurance License, Variable Life and Annuity License, and FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 6 & 63 or equivalent within 90 days.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time.

Nice to Have

  • ASPPA, CEBS, ChFC, or CFP designation(s).
  • Retirement Services Industry Experience.
  • Fully Registered/Licensed and using those licenses in current roles.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $83,100.00 - $124,700.00.
  • Annual incentive (bonus) plan.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role open to candidates located in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland.
