Responsibilities
- Providing clinical and mental health support for people in detention with mental health presentations including complexity and risk, development of mental health recovery plans, medication management, referrals and discharge planning.
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, and relevant key stakeholders to facilitate the provision of coordinated mental health care and treatment.
- Undertaking the timely completion of mental health assessments including formulation, risk assessment, psychological treatment, crisis intervention, crisis management plans, outcome measures, documentation of progress in the electronic medical record system, discharge summaries and other required documentation and activities as required.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration
- Relevant qualifications
- At least five years of clinical experience in Mental Health
- Post-graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
- Strong commitment to person-centred care
