The Field Service Technician operates remotely from the field in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, delivering on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for mailing and shipping systems. This role involves direct client interaction, technical support, and training to ensure efficient equipment operation and minimal service interruptions.
Responsibilities
- Cover a multi-zip-code service area within a two-hour radius of Cincinnati, Ohio, including up to 80% time spent driving.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software malfunctions to minimize equipment downtime and repeat service visits.
- Set up, maintain, and upgrade shipping and mailing systems, ensuring customers are properly trained and comfortable using the equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and small power tools to conduct repairs, installations, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Ensure a safe, organized, and professional work environment during all on-site service activities.
Requirements
- Have a strong interest in working with mechanical and electrical components.
- Are comfortable with frequent driving and working independently in a field environment.
- Are driven to increase earnings through service and parts sales commissions.
- Can lift objects weighing 55 pounds or more and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, stooping, or standing for long durations.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; this position will not be sponsored for visa status now or in the future, including H-1B.
