International SOS Government Medical Services is hiring a Registered Nurse Manager for our Newport, Oregon location. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality healthcare services and daily nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a collaborative environment for patient care and staff development.
What You'll Do
- Manage, supervise, and evaluate care delivered by nursing and allied health staff for assigned areas on a 24-hour basis.
- Function as the clinical expert accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate delivery of care based on age-specific components.
- Coordinate care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and lead innovative process improvement initiatives.
- Direct and supervise specific orientation, training, development, and evaluation of individual staff performance.
- Perform initial patient triage and ongoing assessment and treatment of acute/urgent presenting symptoms in collaboration with the provider.
- Take vital signs, collect specimens, administer medications and IV fluid, perform 12-lead EKGs, and perform point-of-care testing.
- Accurately document care given and strictly follow all infection control guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of six years of professional nursing experience.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least one year of general experience demonstrating ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public, apply written and verbal orders, and maintain good judgment and poise.
- Ability to meet physical requirements: walk unaided for up to 5 minutes, jog/fast walk up to 1/4 mile, lift/push/carry 30 pounds, perform CPR/emergency care, assist patients/staff exiting building.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S.
- Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within 30 days prior to initial assignment.
- Be a U.S. citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the U.S. for permanent residence.
- Have resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on official U.S. government duty).
- Successfully engage in and complete a thorough Background Investigation.
- Possess or have ability to obtain required security clearances.

- Proficiency in Spanish.
