About the Role

St Vincent's Hospital Network is hiring a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife to join the team at Tresillian Dubbo. In this role, you will provide quality child and family health services to families with children 0-3 years of age, operating within the Tresillian Model of Care.

What You'll Do

  • Provide quality child and family health services to families caring for children 0-3 years of age.
  • Work within the Tresillian Model of Care, Practice Principles, and the NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for Child and Family Health clinicians.
  • Use a strength-based and wellness focus to build parental confidence and skills through information, education, resources, guidance, and role modelling.
  • Utilise evidence-based screening and assessment tools to identify health variations or family vulnerabilities.
  • Negotiate individual care plans and discharge pathways to meet family goals.

What We're Looking For

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Postgraduate/post registration qualifications in Child and Family Health OR working towards (evidence of CFH qualification progress with at least two subjects completed).
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical, social and emotional needs of children, and their families.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and skills of working in partnership and the principles that underpin NSW SafeStart, within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including computer literacy.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
