Cape Cod Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process, maintaining thorough and accurate patient records, and acting as a key resource for staff and patients. This role is integral to our patient-centered care model.

What You'll Do

Utilize the nursing process to care for patients and maintain relevant, current patient records.
Document comprehensive assessments throughout admission, covering physical, psychological, social dimensions, and discharge plans.
Summarize assessment data, initiate care plans, and communicate pertinent information to allied patient care providers.
Assume and demonstrate proficiency in the role of charge nurse.
Demonstrate proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics systems.
Act as a resource person for patient care, staff orientation, and teaching.
Participate in at least four unit staff meetings per year, attend mandatory programs, and obtain three hours of PCAC credit annually.
Participate in identifying aspects of patient care, quality indicators, and evaluation of that care.
Adhere to safety and blood/body fluid policies and procedures.
Assess personal learning needs and maintain documentation of ongoing professional development.
Regularly update knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to patient age.
Show a willingness to serve on Nursing Committees.
Represent the hospital by maintaining confidentiality and presenting services in a positive manner.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What We're Looking For

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Basic Life Support Certification.
Successful passage of CCH’s Psychiatric Pharmacology exam.
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 3 months of starting the position.
