Gigamon is hiring a Regional Sales Director - Mid-Atlantic Region

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits advanced expertise in sales with a proven track record of success.
  • Oversees sales of the company’s offerings within a designated geographic area and specific accounts.
  • Meets sales targets by expanding existing accounts and acquiring new ones.
  • Maintains an organized customer database.
  • Records customer interactions in the SalesForce database.
  • Utilizes various resources to plan effective sales strategies, including past opportunities, invoices, and customer inquiries.
  • Promotes new and existing products, identifies new opportunities, and secures additional business.
  • Identifies and communicates potential opportunities with Regional Business Managers and Product Managers.
  • Conducts effective sales calls and closes new business opportunities.
  • Attends industry events and meetings as needed.
  • Communicates promptly with customers and meets their expectations.
  • Provides market and competitive insights to the organization.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers to develop strategies for product expansion and customization.
  • Assists in presentations, product demonstrations, and customer visits.
  • Represents the Sales team on cross-functional projects with R&D, production, and manufacturing.
  • Analyzes market trends, competition, and product mix; presents to current and potential customers.
  • Develops innovative problem-solving approaches and expands technical and sales capabilities.
  • Shares new problem-solving approaches with Regional Business Managers.
  • Applies complex principles and theories in the field.
  • Enhances technical methodologies through existing or new efforts.
  • Provides training to junior Sales staff.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Over 8 years of direct sales experience in Networking or Network Security.
  • Proven track record of success, including notable achievements and consistent quota attainment.
  • Excellent consultative and solution-selling skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Residence in the region with a history of building relationships with local major accounts and channel partners.
  • Proficiency in SalesForce, with a focus on accurate forecasting.

Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, CIS, or a related field.
  • Background in sales engineering or training in CS, IT, or EE.
